How would you like to join the From the Heart Stamps DT?

Now is your chance to apply.

We are looking to add some new members to our team. To apply simply create a new
project using a FTHS image and add your project using the link below.

The call will close on Sept. 15th. Good Luck!

Design Team Requirements:
1) Participate in a monthly blog hop.

2) Create and post a project featuring From the Heart Stamps to your own blog
weekly, and upload the project to the FTHS blog as well. This may be combined
with the weekly sketch challenge if you wish.

3) Comment on a portion of entries in the progressive monthly challenge and the
weekly sketch challenge.

4) Commit to a six month term (October through March).

Design Team Benefits:

1) Receive free digital images to work with. Designers may select 4 images of
choice from the From the Heart Stamps shop, and will also receive the
progressive monthly image. Designers will have the chance of receiving additional bonus images for
going above and beyond.

2) Receive a 50% discount on all digital products in the store.

3) Receive personal promotion on the From the Heart Stamps web page, blog and
Facebook page.

4) A bonus of one digi image of choice for winning an outside challenge or
being recognized in top 3 or 5.

5) A bonus of up to $25 if your project is published in a print magazine and
From The Heart Stamps is credited in the “products used.” The awarded amount
will depend on the size/popularity of the publication and more may be awarded if
it is a full spread article. The amount is per project published, you may be
published and awarded more than once.

FTHS Sketch Challenge 25

Hello everyone!! It's Monday again and you know what that means! It's time for another Sketch Challenge at Delightful Inspiration {from the heart}.

 

Here is my take on this weeks sketch

 

 

I really like this image Sea Turtle Beach. This beach scene is with two sea turtle. Download includes three images-sea turtles, beach bucket, and sea turtles with beach bucket, and three bonus sentiments. Check it out now!

 

Here's a close up of the wonderful image! Isn't it just adorable! I am thinking of sending this one to my oldest granddaughter. I think of her as my "mini me". I think she would really like it.

Happy Father's Day

I hope you all had an awesome Father's day! I got to spend some time with the great men in my life this weekend. My own father, my step father-in-law and my own son who himself is a dad to my 2 beautiful granddaughters. My husband always takes this time away for his annual fishing trip as a treat to himself. And I sent a card off the other day to my other father-in-law who lives about 3 hours from us here.   I wouldn't trade any of these guys for anything - I LOVE them all!

 

So here are my 3 cards

 

My dad

who was in both the Navy & the Coast Guard  ~ LOVES lighthouses. And I tried to keep this one CAS w/just the black & white.

 

My father-in-law

who lives up north in the woods and loves to hunt and fish. One of my most fun times spent w/him was tracking a deer.

My step father-in-law

even though he is my husbands step dad - he has spent most of his life with him. He is quite the jokester and is always picking on someone or giving you a 'hard' time about something.  

 

So, as you can see - I am blessed to have 3 very different, but yet very special men I can call DAD :)

Sympathy

I hate making these kind of cards. And I understand that in life, death is inevitable. But I would prefer making cards for more joyous occasions.

I made this card for my boss and her husband. He lost an older brother to a freak accident on the farm. The family which has 14 kids, have lost both of their parents in addition to this within the last 5 years or so as well. I have been to many family functions with them, and have enjoyed their love of life and compassion for each other. I searched for just the right DP to use and I knew this was the one.

Howdy!!

WOW....these last 2-3 weeks have just flown by so quickly! I knew I hadn't posted in awhile - but not quite that long...LOL! This is very 'after the fact' of course - but here is the Mother's Day card I had made.  My mom & I both love the color purple - so she was excited when we she opened up the envelope.

I had seen a design I had liked on Pinterest and based my card off of that.

Graduation

We have had such a long winter here in WI, which makes it hard to believe it is almost the end of April.  And before you know - graduation parties!!

One of the ladies I work with, asked me to make her some graduation cards when her oldest son was graduating high school a couple years ago. She had seen a previous card I had made, and wanted the card based off of that design.  And she loved how I incorporated the school mascot (a Hornet) into the card.

Now, her youngest son is graduating and she 'put in an order' for 10 more. She said that everyone just LOVED the previous cards and that made me feel really good! I tweaked it a bit from the previous design, but it still has that great mascot on the front.

She didn't want anything 'too fussy' and overly complicated. And when I gave them to her today - she was just thrilled!

 

I plan on making a few more graduation cards just in case. But I will probably make them more generic.
