Baby Shower

This past Saturday was my daughter-in-laws baby shower.
Here's a pic of beautiful Jennifer :)

We had a wonderful turn out and baby Noah is pretty much set to make his entrance into the world on May 12th :)

I made up the thank you cards for her. I had the return address labels on them already along w/the stamps. Then we asked each guest to fill in their address when they got there. So all she has to do is write out her Thank You message and mail them off :)

I had also seen a few ideas on Pinterest. Gosh that thing is addicting!
I also made popcorn 'bands' to go around the microwave popcorn bags that were included in the guest gift bags. Her theme was a jungle them, with more of an emphasis on the monkey. So seems how I knew we would have a lot of monkey things, I decided to go with the other 'animals' of the jungle. I bought zebra, giraffe and cheetah print paper from Hobby Lobby. Cut them to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 3" and 6-1/4", wrapped the around. Then after they were all taped up, wrapped a twine bow around each one and finished it off w/simple 2" x 4" label.
Seems how she is having a boy, I decided to go with the blue mason jars. And I just made a real simple tags for around the neck of each jar.
And I also made her a corsage to wear was well. Another Pinterest idea :)
We all had a great time and things turned out awesome!

FTHS March Blog Hop

SPRING IS IN THE AIR!
Well....at least here at FTHS. That is our theme for this month's blog hop :)
It's been so cold here lately and we still have over 2ft of snow on the ground. I want spring to get here SOON....LOL!

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each entry. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win the image that the designer used. And additionally, one commenter on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $5 gift voucher to the store!

If you have arrived from Lyn's blog, you are in the right place. If not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything!

Here is my project

Image: FTHS Ali's Chick and Basket
Paper: Doodlebug Designs Hello Spring
Coloring Medium: Copic and colored pencils
Other Supplies: Recollections Bling on a Roll, Recollections Flowers, Martha Stewart leaf punch, sheer ribbon, atyou Spica marker 02 Pink, Distress Ink Antique Linen

I went w/my Copic markers again on this image. I still have ALOT to learn on how to use these, but this image was so great to try them out on. At least I am not "afraid" on using them anymore :)

Now head over to Wendy's blog and see what she has created.
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday March 10th at 6am, EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday March 12th!

ENJOY!!!

i {heart} sketches & FTHS Inspiration

Hi everyone!!
Have you seen the exciting news at FTHS?

ONLY “From the Heart” images will be allowed.  And the
i {heart} card sketches will now come with a little tWiSt for you to incorporate into your projects.  You decide whether you want to use the sketch, the twist OR BOTH!!  Fun right!!  :)  All participants will still receive $1 and a random winner will still be awarded a $5 voucher to use at the FTH SHOP!

Here is this weeks sketch 56 and the tWiSt
(Stitching - Real or Faux)
I opted not to use the twist.
I used one of Faith's newer images. It seems a lot of people fell in love with her Hamlet PigWit that she created some new ones! SQUEAL!!!! LOL

I also decided to get out of my comfort zone and start using some of those Copic markers that I have. I bought a bunch when Archiver's was going out of business. They were VERY reasonably priced and I figured this would "force" me to use them :) I am hoping to take a class to get myself up to speed on all the basics. Here are the colors I used. I have a very small collection of only about 24 so my options are limited.

I colored Hamlet w/Gamsol & colored pencils seems how I really don't have any pinks or salmon colors yet. Everything else is colored w/Copics.

Image: FTHS Hamlet Pig Wit Think Spring
Paper: Kraft cardstock, DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies, DCVW Flower Shower Spring Stack
Coloring Medium: Gamsol & colored pencils, Copic markers
Other Supplies: Nestabilities Circle dies, Banner punch, Distress Ink Old Paper, Gelly Roll Pen Clear Star
