i {heart} sketches 60, Inspiration post and SOTM

Hi everyone!!
 
Time again for another i {heart} sketches challenge, which I bundled along with the weekly inspirational post AND the new SOTM image!
Let's see Flo from Progressive beat that bundle...LOL!
 
Anyway, here is this weeks sketch
Here is my spin on it
 
Along with the new SOTM image
I couldn't wait to use this image as soon as I seen it. And I really wanted to use my Copics on this one, but like I said before - I have a very limited number of colors so. I did the best with the colors I did have. Not quite as beautiful as Faith's colored image, but it turned out pretty good. I used my good ol' Gamsol & blue colored pencil for the 'border' as I am still not the best in shading w/my Copics yet.

Coloring Medium: Copic markers and Gamsol & colored pencil
Other Supplies: ek Success 1" square punch, Martha Stewart leaf punch, Prima flower

    What a lovely creation and that sentiment certainly rings true as I wish spring would arrive in "cold and still a bit snowy" Southern Ontario !! Love the colours you used. Great card.
