October is a VERY busy month for me with birthdays. I have 3 friends, my mother, my soon to be daughter-in-law, my oldest granddaughter and my own ~ WHEW! So it only seemed fitting to make a birthday card :)

 

Plus, it's fall and my favorite time of year, so I decided to use some fall colors.

I used FTHS "Anneke" and you can use her with and without a smile, so you can choose the image that suits your card making style best. I love her cute smile so I decided on that one.

I used FTHS Seven Christmas Birds digi. I think this one is just so cute! The adorable lil' birds all sitting there together on a wire. My favorite one is the one with the ear muffs...he just makes me smile :)

For this challenge, I also used Faith's new September Stamp of the Month "Bobbing for Apples". If you played along in the challenge last month, you were emailed this image for FREE! If you missed out, you can still play along with the challenge by purchasing the image.

 

Fall for me is the best time of the year. Cooler temps and the brilliant colors - I just love fall!! Some time ago I bought the Nested Apples die at a local scrapbooking store for an amazing deal! I thought it went great with this image.

Here is my take on the sketch.

 

I also used the True Love digi stamp that Faith created in celebration of her 15th wedding anniversary. As you can tell - I LOVE purple :) I really like how this turned out. One of the gals I work with has a family wedding to go to and asked if I could make her a card. This sketch and digi just went so well together and made it seem almost effortless to create! She LOVED it and told me numerous time how beautiful it was and it made me feel great!

So......time is running out! Let's see what you can create w/this sketch.

Wishing you all the best

At my full-time job - we had hired a recent high school grad to help us out thru summer. As this is normally our busiest time of the year.

Well, as of today, 'our' little girl is getting ready to embark on a new chapter of her life - freshman year of college :) So my fellow co-workers & I brought in all kinds of delicious treats today to celebrate and thank her for all of her help these past couple of months. She was a tremendous help to myself and our whole department. I personally made her a little care package to send her off to college. Seems how I was the one who trained her and she helped out in my area the most. As by the end of summer she became more of a like a little kid sister, or daughter to most of us 'older' ladies in the department.

I also made a card that we all signed to thank her! She is a very talented young lady, quite artistic and crafty in her own right. And she 'fell in love' with the card I had made. It made me feel so good :) We are all going to miss her - but we told her she can come back any summer, or school break she wants to help out if we needed her. She is such a sweetheart!

 

I really like the Hero Arts Stamp & Die set that I used. And I popped a couple of the butterflies up to give it some more depth. But I like how CAS it is too :)

FTHS Sketch Challenge 25

Hello everyone!! It's Monday again and you know what that means! It's time for another Sketch Challenge at Delightful Inspiration {from the heart}.

 

Here is my take on this weeks sketch

 

 

I really like this image Sea Turtle Beach. This beach scene is with two sea turtle. Download includes three images-sea turtles, beach bucket, and sea turtles with beach bucket, and three bonus sentiments. Check it out now!

 

Here's a close up of the wonderful image! Isn't it just adorable! I am thinking of sending this one to my oldest granddaughter. I think of her as my "mini me". I think she would really like it.
