Inspiration at FTHS

Thanks for joining us again for another weekly inspiration post at

Not sure about you, but up here in WI we have had a "weird" winter.
We actually had no snow for Christmas, but snow for Thanksgiving.
And only 3 "named" snowstorms (more than 3" of accumulation).
No snow for awhile now, everything is starting to green up, birds are singing and tonight into tomorrow we are suppose to get rain and frigid temps, and possible snow?

YIKES!!!

Well, I saw my first robin the other day, and that is suppose to be a sign of spring - I hope so. And I made this card with that robin and spring in mind.

I used the current sketch

Birdbrain Needs Coffee.......

Welcome back for another weekly inspiration !!

Not until right now did I notice something "funny". A couple of weekends ago, I went on a scrapbooking weekend w/my girlfriends.  I printed out some images and I usually try to get as many as I can on a page, usually 4 is a good size.

I didn't realize that I used another Birdbrain Needs Coffee image and somewhat followed the current sketch as well. Weird!! But I really love this lil guy as he reminds me of myself some mornings. Just give me that 1st cup of coffee and THEN I am ready to face the world...LOL!!

Here is the current sketch Challenge

And my card:

Image: Birdbrain Needs Coffee
Paper: Authentique Paper Suave
Coloring Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: American Crafts Ribbon & twine, Hero Arts Gems, Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles Large, Chipboard (creamer dish)
Sketch: Sketch 101

As you can see, I traded out the rectangle for scalloped circles and my strip thru the middle is alot smaller. But for the most part - pretty close. And will digging thru my stash to find the perfect embellishment, I happen to stumble across some chipboard I have had for some time now. And this one just happened to remind me over a lil coffee creamer cup. So I inked it up with my blue ink, added some sparkle and twine!

$10.00 gift vouchers!!!  YEAH!!!

I find it - for lack of a better word - hard sometimes to make a CAS card. I am always wanting to embellish more, or add lots of layers, etc. But this past weekend, I was at a weekend scrapping retreat w/my girlfriends. And I can't believe how "fast" I came up with this one. I think it was Saturday afternoon or so when I got around to making this card. After doing other numerous cards and a couple of layouts, it just came together in no time.  I was inspired by seeing a few others projects at the retreat as well.

Hope you like it!!
