Challenge #292

It's Wednesday crafty friends - time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 292
Anything Goes

I was so happy to get to use this adorable lil witch from Art by Miran  :)
If you don't already know, which I am sure you do - I LOVE Halloween!!
Not sure if it's because my birthday is on the 29th or what. But it's my favorite holiday.

And I just love the Fancy Pants Oct 31 paper pad I have. Sad thing is that it's almost gone!! I was struggling a little with my layout, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Image: Witch Hazel
Paper: Fancy Pants Design Oct 31, Purple & Black cardstock
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: atyou Spica pens 01 Lavender & 20 Chocolate, Inkadinkado Cats & Bats clear stamps set (sentiment), Die-namics Blueprint 21 die, Darice bakers Twine, Smooch Glitz Frost, Distress Ink Old Paper, Mama Elephant Banner die, Sequins

I remembered that I had some little Halloween embellishments. And I had a spider web and spider left, which I thought would be cute to match the spider on her hat! And I wanted to make it look like he was leaving his web.

Well, I hope you liked my card! Please make sure to stop by and give some love of the rest of the DT! I am sure they would love to hear for you!

And our course our wonderful sponsor this week:

Mid-Week Inspiration Post @ FTHS

Happy Wednesday!!
2nd post for the day

It's time for a Mid-Week Inspiration @ FTHS.

For challenge #161, you get to choose your sketch from the four options below.  The tWists are also fair game — Sketch #47 was just a sketch.  There is no tWist for #47.

Reminder also:
We are still on a bi-weekly schedule.

I choose to use Sketch 096. I thought it went great the image I had colored. I went for a CAS card with simple lines and not a lot of 'frills'.

Image: In The Meadow
Paper: American Crafts Merrymint
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Memory Box Stitched Rectangle dies, Martha Stewart Arctic Snowflake punch, Webster's Pages Dream in Color Enamel dot, Smooch Glitz Frost

Remember: You can use any size or shape, feel free to rotate it, flip it and embellish as you like but if you use the sketch it should be recognizable! Please check out the Challenge Rules under the tab “Challenges”

Hope you will join us !!

Challenge # 291

It's Wednesday - time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 291
Anything Goes

I got to use the adorable image from the Paper Shelter. It comes with:
  • 1 Inked Digital Stamp (outlines) ready to color in JPG format on a white background
  • 1 Inked Digital Stamp (outlines) ready to color in PNG format on transparent background
  • 1 Colored Digital Stamp ready to use in JPG format on a white background
  • 1 Colored Digital Stamp ready to use in PNG format on transparent background
  • 1 background/paper matching the character WITHOUT the character
  • 1 Composition: The character on the background
I went with colored image and tried to go with a more 'vintage' feel I guess you could say. I really like how it all came together.

UPDATE at From The Heart Stamps

We have some really important information to share with you today, so please read carefully:

As was mentioned last week on the FTHS blog, Faith is in the hospital.  Her father has kindly provided us with an update on Facebook and Faith will be having brain surgery in the coming days to remove a tumor.  This has to be so incredibly scary for Faith and her family!

It is unknown how long Faith’s recovery will be, so as long as she is not fully recovered, there will be no monetary prizes.  {No random $5 gift certificate or  $1 for each participation.}  We do not want to overwhelm Faith upon her return.

The team will continue to pick their personal TOP 3,  but, otherwise, we will play for fun! We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your continued participation.

***And lastly, but most importantly, please keep Faith in your thoughts and prayers ! ***

I will be posting on Wednesday for the Mid Week Inspiration post.
I hope to see you then!

Thanks
Michelle

Challenge #290

It's Wednesday - time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 290
Anything Goes

This week I got to use an image from Little Blue Button Stamps. I had this image colored for a few days, but just couldn't find the right paper to go with it. Then I had to stop by the local post office and drop off a card for my father in laws birthday, which happens to be near a Joann's Store. I went for a quick walk thru and found this wonderful stack of paper on sale from DCWV. When I got it home it was like it just clicked! I still think it needs a little something, but I just left it for now.

Paper: DCWV The Little Miss Stack
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: My Minds Eye Follow Your Heart Twine, atyou Spica pens 01 Lavender & 02 Pink, Darice Clear Sequins, Webster's Pages Enamel Dots and Mama Elephant Tags dies

I hope you have time to stop by and visit with the rest of the DT.
They have made some wonderful and inspiring creations.

Challenge #289

It's Wednesday & time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 289
Anything Goes

YAY....I got to use a Bugaboo image this week. I just love the Bugaboo digis :) Seems how it's summer - I thought I would go with summer image. When I saw this cute lil pup in an inner tube, I just had to have him!

Image: Pup Summer
Paper: Fancy Pants Making Waves
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers die, Glossy Accents, Stamps of Life Flamingo2stamp (sentiment), Lawn Fawn A Birdie Told Me stamp & die (bubble), Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink Gold, atyou Spica pen 20 Chocolate, Webster's Pages Enamel Stars

I used the Glossy Accents on his glasses as well as the inner tube. I wanted to give the inner tube that "glossy" plastic like look to it. I thought this sentiment from The Stamps of Life was a perfect match for this image!

Please make sure you stop by and check out the rest of the DT.

August Blog Hop @ FTHS

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop.
We have a “Use Your Stash” Theme this month.
We have lots of gorgeous projects.

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store. And one lucky commentator on the FTHS blog has the chance to win a $ 15 voucher.

If you have arrived from Lyn, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

Here is my project, and from my stash I used sequins.
I have been "hoarding' this stuff for awhile. Had great intentions of using but always forget about the "stash" I have.

Paper: Fancy Pants Making Waves
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Smooch Glitz in Frost, Glossy Accents, atyou Spica pen in 06 Melon, Sequins

I also used our newest i {heart} sketch # 160,
along with the twist.

And here is a pic of the container my sequin stash is in.
I LOVE this container. As you can see it holds 24 smaller containers inside one bigger container. I found this at our local Menards store.
Very handy and was reasonably priced!

Well I hope you liked my card!

Now it's time to head over to Ruth and see what she has created.

The hop will end on Sunday Aug 7th at 6 am EST.

Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday Aug 10th.

Thanks for hopping with us today.
