Challenge #297

It's Wednesday & time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 297
Winter / Christmas

I got to use a cute image from A Random Fan! I can't believe it's almost the end of September! And you can tell Christmas is right around the corner. A lot of the retail store have or are in the process of setting up their holiday displays.

I almost ALWAYS make the normal shaped cards. So I thought I would do something different and went with a circle card. I thought it would go great with the scene of them decorating the tree.

I hope you like it!

Paper: American Crafts Merrymint paper stack
Color medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Spellbinders Celebrations Pierce Circle die, IO die 319-K Pine sprigs, atyou Spica pen 12 Silver & 21 Lipstick, Stickles Holly, Glossy Accents, Memento Ink Bamboo Leaves, Smooch Pearlized Top Coat, Hero Arts D140 Christmas Tag set

When I seen this image, I had wanted to make the garland on the tree 'pop'. The Stickles gives it just the right amount of glitter and texture I was looking for. And the same with the Liquid Applique - just the right amount of texture :)

Hope you will take the time to stop and visit with the rest of the DT as well as our wonderful weekly sponsor!

Challenge #296

Welcome crafty friends - it's time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 296
Anything Goes

This week I got use another wonderful image from Lacy Sunshine.
As soon as I seen this image - I could hear Judy Garland singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". I remember watching this movie every year growing up when I was younger. As the poplar lyrics go:
"Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true."

So that is why I went with the "Dream" sentiment :)

I hope you like it!

FTHS September Blog Hop

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop.

We have a Random Image Theme this month.
Our designers are each showing a project created with an image that was randomly assigned from the store.

The September Blog Hop will be our last for awhile. The team will take a break while Faith gets her treatment. When Faith is fully recovered, we will come back, but we do not know how long it will take.
During this time the blog and shop are put on hold.

If you have arrived from Lyn, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

When I was assigned my image, I wasn't sure how I was going to use it. It comes with a couple of sentiments and can be used so many ways.  A couple of the ladies I work with have had siblings pass away recently. I don't like making sympathy cards, even though I know it is a fact of life. So, as I never really ever have any made ahead of time, I thought I would turn this into a sympathy card.

Here is my project

Paper: My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Smooch Glitz Frost, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large, Lacey Ovals  and Foliage dies, American Crafts twine in brown and sage

Thank you again for your patience and understanding. We all hope that Faith will be recovered soon and the challenges can take place as usual.

For now head over to Ruth and see what she has created.

Thanks for hopping with us today.
