FTHS November Blog Hop

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop.
Our theme this month is CAS and Over the Top!!
 
Each DT member was to make 2 cards with the same image.
(1) very CAS (clean and simple)
(1) Over the Top - w/embellishments, multiple layers, etc

Here is my CAS

Paper: White, green and white shimmer card stock
Coloring Medium: Copics, atyou Spica pen 05 Lemon
Other Supplies: Smooch Glitz~Frost, Distress Ink ~ Old Paper

Here is my Over The Top

Paper: DCWV Holiday Collection (The Christmas Stack), pink, blue and white shimmer card stock
Coloring Medium: Copics, atyou Spica pen 05 Lemon, 06 Melon
Other Supplies: Sequins, Distress Ink ~ Old Paper, Recollections bling

I know I probably could have went more over the top on the one card, but I thought it looked pretty good as is. I also use this weeks sketch as an inspiration as well.

    Michelle, these are two fabulous cards! I love this image :-) Great patterned papers in the second card, the first just super CAS! :-)

    2 beautiful cards. I really love how you've coloured the image on both cards, and the added pops of colour off the sequins are so pretty too.

    Great use of the Sketch for your OTT Card Michelle. This is a super image and I think it's such a great scene, I'm drawn more to the CAS version though I do love them both. Great Hop Cards!

    Michelle, both cards are really lovely! I think you were right to keep the OTT card as it is. The image is colored so beautifully you don't want too many distractions to take away from that focal point!

    As I hope it is funny that some I'm drawn towards the CAS while others I like the OTT. I'm drawn to your CAS...maybe the splash of green around the edge and the bright colors on the white?! I also like how you colored your trees.

    I really love the simplicity of your CAS card! It's just really a striking card. The layers on your over the top card are nice But I'm leaning toward your CAS card. Thanks for the fun hop. I've really enjoyed seeing how each person interpreted the theme. Happy weekend.
