 I am posting this a 'little after the fact', but I have had issues w/Blogger at home and am posting from work on my lunch break :/

i {heart} sketches 48

Well, it's Monday again so you know what that means -

another weekly sketch challenge @ FTHS!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! Up here in the Midwest we are experiencing bitterly cold temps. Our high temp today is suppose to -10 degrees. Yes....the high temp is a MINUS 10 degrees brrrrrrr!!! Most all of the area schools are closed as well as other events scheduled for later in the day.

 

Well, its a good day to "cuddle up" to the computer and check out some of the wonderful cards the DT has created for you this week.

Here is my take on the sketch

 

 

 

I really like the colorful papers in this 6x6 paper stack. They are so much fun!!

And I created my own background by stamping "Happy Birthday" directly onto the kraft cardstock. I really didn't want to add another layer of paper, as I thought it would take away from the wonderful sketch.

Can you believe it's December already? I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got some awesome Black Friday deals :) I had my family over for the Thanksgiving day meal. I did a little (very little) Black Friday shopping, spent the weekend picking up the rest of the leaves in our yard, putting away stuff for winter and putting out the Christmas lights. WHEW...glad that's all done before it gets too bitterly cold here. Now just to finish the inside decorating :)
