March Blog Hop @ FTHS

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps March blog hop.
We have a Spring Theme this month.
Our designers are each showing a project created with this theme.

If you have arrived from Lyn, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

Not sure about you, but I sure am ready for spring! And when I think of spring, I think of flowers like tulips and daffodils, and buds on the trees. New life in everything and everywhere you look.

So here is my project - I hope you like it  :)

Image: Every Flower
Paper: Every Flower DDP, blue cardstock
Color medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Jolee's Boutique Dimensional Stickers (Bee), Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers Dies, Tim Holtz Distress Crayons & Watercolor cardstock, Michaels paper roses, Doodle Designs Bakers Twine, Glossy Accents, Gelly Roll Clear Star pen

When I was looking for some paper to 'back' my image, I really didn't like the solid colors I was coming across. And I remember on a recent trip to the craft store I had bought some Distress crayons and watercolor cardstock. I though I would play around and make a 'marble effect" background. I think it turned out :) And I really like Faith's Every Flower DDP. I think is really makes the image 'pop'

Now head over to Ruth, and see what she has created. As you hop along, leave a comment on each blog. We will select a random winner from the comments on each blog and on the FTHS blog to win one image of your choice.

Our hop will end on Sunday March 12th 2017 at 6 am, and the winners will be posted on Wednesday March 15th.

Thanks for hopping with us today.

FTHS Mid-Week Inspiration

Hi friends !!

Thank you to everyone who played along with us last week!  We at FTHS enjoyed visiting your blogs and seeing your wonderful creations!

Here in the Midwest, we have had such a swing of weather this last week or so. Couple of days of normal temps, then unseasonable highs, rain and then back to snow. I wanted to make a bright & cheery card! One that made me think of spring :) I also used the current sketch challenge that is going on right now.

I hope you like it!

FTHS Mid-Week Inspiration

Hi there!!

Back for another Mid-Week Inspiration post at From The Heart Stamps:)

Here in the Midwest we are having some unusually warm weather for this time of the year. Highs in the upper 50's to 60's in some spots. When our average high is normally only about 29! In between all of our bathroom remodel, etc, - I did manage to get out an enjoy some of the great weather this past weekend w/my grandkids!!

Here is my inspiration for you this week! I have had the Nerd Girl for a little bit now, but have never used it. And when looking for some DP - I came across this one and thought it worked out perfectly w/the image! And as you can see as well, I did follow the current sketch challenge somewhat.
I hope you like it :)

This week we all got to use Cute as a Button images. I wasn't really sure what/or how I wanted to use this card yet. So I kind of "didn't finish" it for the time being. We have a bathroom remodel project going on right now, and I think my mojo just got up and left with our old crappy tub...lol! Plus, 1 of my Copics was giving my and issue on the ladybug.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the card!

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

We here at From The Heart Stamps loved reading all of the welcome back comments in your blog posts.  Faith and the rest of the design team have definitely felt the love!

This post today actually cover 2 things: SOTM and the current Sketch challenge #162.  This is the mid-month reminder for the SOTM which is absolutely perfect for Valentine's day. But, could be used for birthdays as well. This lil guy and his kisses are just too adorable!!

As you can see I followed the sketch, but not the twist.

Challenge #316

Hi crafty friends!

It's Wednesday - time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 316
Anything Goes

We all got to use images from Fred She Said Designs. I don't have to many male/boy images, so when I seen this one I had to have it. It comes with a blank sign, as well 4 other sayings. Which make it quite versatile.

I hope you like it!

I {heart} Sketches with a tWist #161

Hi everyone!!

We are all so thankful for Faith’s continued recovery and your continued thoughts and prayers for her!  We are also so excited to be back with you all and appreciate your sticking with us!

We are back with a new sketch challenge!

Before we get to the new sketch challenge, we want to highlight a few prize changes:
A random winner will receive 2 free images of their choice.

There will be no $5 voucher for the winner and there will not be a $1.00 credit for participating at this time.
This may change in the future.  We want to start out slow and not overwhelm Faith.

As you can see, our sketches look a little different!  Faith has hand drawn the sketches and added in an additional color option.  For the challenge, you may opt for the sketch, the tWist {in this case Birthday Cake}, the color palette or any combination of the three.  Use any size or shape, feel free to rotate it, flip it and embellish as you like, but if you use the sketch it should be recognizable! As always, a From the Heart Stamps image is required.  Please check out the Challenge Rules under the tab “Challenges”  (These new changes will be updated shortly.)

Paper: Teresa Collins Fabrications
Coloring Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Glossy Accents, Smooch Glitz Frost, Sequins
Sketch: Sketch 161

As you can see I went with the sketch, and the twist kind of with the cupcakes. It's a little hard to see, but I put Glossy Accents on the cherries and sparkles on the frosting of the cupcakes.

It's been fun getting back into the swing of things and we hope you can join us for our challenge!!

Thanks for stopping by today!
I would love to hear from you :)
